This Dawuud Ibsa guy is simply a moron! How can one start talking about Jaarraa’s contribution to Oromo struggle on his passing with statement like “ Jaarraan tarkaniifn ini fudhaate fi hujiin isa nama controversial dha” je’e eegala. Can Jaarraa’s contribution to Oromoo struggle be characterized as controversial? This is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard and even if Jaaraa according to Dawuud Ibsa was a controvertial person, is that the first thing that Jaarraa should be remembered for after all he has done for Oromoo people? One can argue that Jaarraa may have created Dawuud Ibsa and if people like Jaarraa Abbaa Gadaa hadn’t started the struggle, we wouldn’t be talking about this stupid man called Dawuud Ibsa.
The other point is, people argued for a long time that Dawuud Ibsa and the OLF are in Eritrean prison and this is a proof that Dawuud Ibsa has no clue on what is going on outside of Eritrea let alone lead the Oromoo struggle. He has to hear the death of Oromoo hero from a lousy Journalist wan be and he was dumbfounded by the news and he has to scramble to find what to say.

Pls let’s not be distructed from remembering our hero. We know who Jaarraa Abbaa Gadaa is and what he stood for . We don’t need Obbo Dawud to lecture us about Abbaa Gadaa. At the end of the day Obbo Dawud too is a fellow human being and he has made very big mistake s in this interview and I ask you guys to stop pouring a barage of critism on this poor man.

    Obbo dandii,
Ati Dawud Ibsaatti aaruuf mirga qabda. Garuu kan ati dogoggorte namuma ati “lousy Journalist wan be” jettee arrabsitu kana tu Dawudiin saaxile. Journalistummaan yeroo mara waan si gammachiisu ta’uu hin danda’u, kan akka kana waan Oromo qaanessu saaxiluun dandeettii guddaa dha.
Kanaaf Obbo dandii, aarii kee garuma keetti qabadhuu gubadhu.

What I did not understand from your statements above is whether you were truely angry at Dawud’s usual lack of judgement or the journalist who exposed this. I believe the credit goes the journalist, who disclosed Dawud’s lack of regard for Oromo heroes and heroines. So target your anger and misgiving at Dawud….

Obbo Ahmad, I partly agree with your statement. I do agree with you in regards to Juwar. I don’t the necessity of interviewing Juwar. Most of the time his analysis of Oromo struggle makes me throw up. But I will never call him “coward” because he is doing what he think is best for his people. In regards to free and independent Oromia, don’t limit yourself; think outside the box. Many people including you, limit themselves to what they think “the only way” in this case, “free independent Oromia”. My friend, go as far as your mind lets you…try to explore other options.

  6. Do not use the rhythm of Amara!  March 8, 2013 at 10:17 pm

Dear Jourmalist, while I appreciate your interviewing of different Oromo political leaders and activist, you use the Amara Rhythm, (music). That is (should be) unoromia because we are at least ideologically in war with empire builders! Detach yourselves from whatever the empire uses or entertains in its psychological and emootional discourse. Always defend our clear differences! These are the way forward, the central philosophical issue-Detach from any idea that directly or indirectly defend the empire !

The sad thing I learned from what both Obbo Leencoo Laataa and Obbo Dawud Ibsa said was that, though these leaders have devoted their entire life to the struggle of the Oromoo people, somewhere something went terribly wrong that they even couldn’t communicate among themselves. If they happen to have a tiny courage to break the barrier that separated them from each other, if they honestly and openly discussed the problem among themselves, with trust and openness, the internal division and bickering would have been avoided. I could’t understand if the problem. How come they could’t communicate with each other, if they were struggling to librate the same nation? If they were fighting the same enemy? As a nation we have to rethink. The main source of our problem is our our inability to stand together. That needs honest and open dialogue. That is where our leaders failed us. These leaders are our heroes. we respect and salut their sacrifies for the libration of oromia. But we also demand from them to unit us. unity again and again unity.
