After-School Tutoring Program

Family Engagement Event on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at the Trinity Church in Cedar Riverside, sponsored by the American Oromo community of Minnesota (AOCM) and the Trinity Church in Cedar Riverside.

Address: 2001 Riverside Ave., Minneapolis, Minnesota
(Across from AfroDeli – African Development Center)

Time: 2pm-5pm.

Purpose: To provide information for Oromo families about how they can help their kids succeed in school. The event is to provide information for Oromo families on ways they can navigate the school systems, and participate in their kids lives. We’ve invited a speaker from “Connecting Parents to Educational Opportunities” program, and a local Oromo elder to talk about the importance of family engagement.

Entertainment, information, and lots of fun. Please invite your family if you live in the Twin Cities!
