On the Ongoing Euphoria: The Rapture – End of Oromia
Here’s a video of Dr. Berhanu Nega of G7 explaining how he got into politics. Can G7′s self-induced euphoria be understood now?
(Video from our archives – Mid 2010)
Editor’s Note: People have the right to say what they themselves want to hear – it’s called self-deceit. It’s also a sign of euphoria – “an exaggerated physical and psychological state, sometimes induced by the use of psychoactive drugs and not typically achieved during the normal course of human experience.”
Over the last couple of days, G7 has been leading its supporters and its media outlets into a euphoric experience called The Rapture – End of Oromia. In hindsight, could this be one of the greatest political blunders of all-times in the empire, next to the Meles Zenawi’s repeated news stories about “annihilating” the OLF? Since the early 1990′s, Meles Zenawi has “annihilated” OLF many many times without addressing the real demand of the people – “the right to self-determination.” It’s easy to “annihilate” OLF, just address the people’s demand.

OROMIYAA – The Struggle Continues …
“We might soften our position, and revamp our strategy. We rightly reach out to our brethren to foster mutual understanding and to pave the way for cooperation. BUT we must not compromise on our vital interest; and we must never even negotiate on our core needs. We don’t apologize for fighting for our rights; we don’t surrender the victory of our martyrs. When our goodwill is taken for naivety, we pull back and push back heavy and mercilessly.”

Commenting in Facebook on the G7 Self-Induced Euphoria
———————————————-
(Updated on Jan. 7, 2012)
Inheriting its methods from the aristocrats of the bygone era and the Derg military junta, G7 has opened a smear campaign on the Oromo people’s struggle. The aristocrats and the military junta, for 30 years, killed the Eritrean people calling them “Tegentay.” These days, G7 has revamped its smear campaign on the Oromo people’s just struggle for the right to self-determination and freedom, by labeling Oromo nationalist freedom fighters as “Tegentayoch” (secessionists). Maybe they have forgotten to learn from the failed policies of the aristocrats of the bygone era and the military junta.
This moment is “a blessing in disguise.” Now is the time to unite and finish the final chapter of the struggle.

These are just one of the same old cunning foxes who secretly planned, closed its eyes and dived in to Addis Ababa in 2005 to grab the entire empire including the whole of Oromia for itself alone like always and then with euphoric sentiment say goodbye to all others and start enjoying life with limitless hedonism. But the whole plan was aborted just in time by all of those anti Naftagna forces.
How are they going to overcome the trauma? :)

There is no need to fear They both Berhanu and Kamal know the outcome of the negotiation or the decree, but they are trying to gain something which they have already lost. We should stand still with our objectives, which of that of our people. For them they knwo their account balance is null. Let them cry, shout, etc that will add up to their losses, not gain whatsoever.

I am not sure if the “rapture” has anything to do with G7. G7 has been talking to OLF for a number of years and the OLF problem has nothing to do with G7 either. As an Oromo I supported the cause of the Oromo struggle and I never accepted that I should go anywhere from Ethiopia to get that freedom. We need to get one man one vote and then we can change the course of history in Ethiopia. G7, I don’t think, has denied or said that there is no Oromo issiue. we need to look into each others eyes and say if the methods or the road we have been following has ever worked. What are the things OLF has to show for for the last 40 years? We need to change how we achieve our goal.

The biggest Problem for oromos and anti-oromos alike is not whether a few frustrated former wayyane soldiers cry from Asmara prison cells or whether some oromos are bitter over the loss of “preferred wife” status. It’s also not whether oromia “raptures” or not as nafxagnas dream. It’s the simple fact the train of Bilisummaa (= INDEPENDENCE) that was set in motion by the blood and bones of oromo heroes and heroines is so large and went so far that even the only supper power on the planet can’t stop it. Neither could even 50% of oromo population stop it. This train can only be “stopped” and Oromia “rapture” either when there is no oromo left who can read and write history or when each and every oromo votes on the future of his nation in a free and fair REFERENDUM after removing all obstacles in their way. Other than this it is more logical to think of a catastrophic full scale civil war in East Africa in which of millions of lives would be lost but justice would prevail and oromos will have their nation, at last.

Ginbot-7′s trial of recycling woyane’s OPDO to its own OPDO is nothing but, a culmination of Dr. Berhanu’s slogan of ‘Changing the OLF’.
Hopefully, his concluded recycling of the former OPDO generals to a fake ‘OLF, which stands for Ethiopia’ can serve as an eye-opener for Oromos, who were so reluctant to acknowledge the evil intentions of Dr Berhanu, who repeateldy said: ‘ my main reason to join the struggle is to ‘change the OLF’. By recycling the former OPDO generals to an ‘OLF’ of his own, his main mission his concluded successfully. With no doubt, his next main focus shall remain weakening the OLF and Oromo unity, to replace the current fascists from Tigray, with his own blood-thursty fascists who reside along the boundaries of Oromiyaa. The question remains, whether Oromos shall continue decieving themselves by potraying Berhanu’s blood-thirty fascistic group as ‘democracts’ of tommorrow, or respond to Berhanu’s aggression. Now that, Berhanus has started his aggression by playing with a fire using the fake ‘OLF’, Oromo’s patience (self-deception?) about Ginbot-7 has ended. Oromos are responding to Ginbot-7′s aggression with multi-faceted approach inoder that, Ginbot-7 shall never enter Oromiyaa. *** Ginbot-7 shall die in Diaspora. While continuing his lif in Diaspora, Dr. Berhanu has every right to raise funds from his foolish followers. Oromiyaa is no more ready to carry the burnden of fascists. The ultimate victory belongs to freedom seeking humanity.

I think the good plan of having Tokkuummaa Qabsaa’ota Oromo and Tumsa with others against the Gujile is hijacked by this abortive (pre-mature) move of Gen Kamal’s group. The illusion and euphorie in the Abyssianists’ camp is surely only temporary. But, still the Tokkummaa and the Tumsa must be promotted and supported!

These people are going to commit genocide. They can go to the extent of using biological weapon against Oromo people. Wait and see.

The OPDO cadets ‘Jijjiirama’ are looking for a room to take their last gasp. They detached themselves not only from the OLF but also from the Oromo people three years ago when they decided to undercut to ‘power’, after all there is nothing as such, through creating splinters within the OLF ranks. It was clear that they were doing this for a mission, a mission they were sent for by Meles to accomplish. They succeeded somehow; were able to create confusion among OLF supporters, fooled some to surrender to the enemy. In that sense they have achieved their goal. But their ultimate goal of destroying the Oromo national movement was aborted when many of their supporters and rank members realized that the former TPLF cadets were on a mission. They were trying to accomplish what their Tigrigna speaking boss Meles Zenawi couldn’t achieve in the years before them. These too were not different from Meles except they speak afaan oromo. They have been killing our people for 15 years, we certainly know what Kemal Gelchu did in Gara Muleta, estaren Oromia. What is left for them now? Oromos have risen, united once again. The group has now moved on to their next target, Ginbot 7. They started by claiming to have changed the political program of the OLF, the organization they have nothing with except using its name. This is to get access to the heart of the Amhara people and the Ginbot 7 ranks. Berhanu Nega shouldn’t forget what he had faced in Kalitti prison. The same people are in his bed room now.
Good luck.

I don’t think that it’s Dr.Birhanu to blame neither him nor G7. It’s true that G7 tried to forge a Front with all and many trial failed because of 2 reasons.
1. Our failure to stand in unity and defend our cause
2. some outdated elemets in G7, who still believe to bring back the ancient empire.
so fellows don’t fool our selves…(“Gowwaan….)! jedhama miti? whom to blame first is still our “must be replaced” leaders who can not anymore represent our cause and lag behind for the past 40 years. They are so self centred that they make such destructive decisions.

I don’t blame him at all if some uneducated oromos choose to be his condom as OPDO has been condom of Wayyanes for two decades! The fact is neither Berhanu nor Wayyane can stop the fight of oromos for their rights as oromos are accepting orders only from Gen. Taddassa Birru and Waqo Gutu! They stop fighting and lay down their arms if and only if these gernerals rise from their graves and gavive them orders not to fight for their rights! Oromia shall not end because of OLF’s ideological ailment; neither can it be the rapture nor the end of the Oromo people. Yes, OLF has two or more raptures. However, its raptures cannot be a yardstick entity in assessing Oromia’s demise. The historical event that kindles the demise of the ETHIOPIAN EMPIRE is rather swiftly knocking at the raptured minds of Birhanu Nega’s G-7.
The time is coming when Oromia blossoms on the grave of the G-7’s moribund empire and when its panicked politicians die “blessing” Oromia.

To the editor,
You have a responsibility, as an Oromo web site, to hold all politicians accountable to the general public. I am aware that we are dealing with liberation front that is not governed by a normal democratic procedures, but since the all OLF leaders depend on the Oromo people, they should be held accountable. Where has Gadaa Com been since its inception in demanding the OLF leadership to come to their senses to reconcile and advance the cause they have always been advocating? Are the OLF programs only on paper or were they made as a guiding document? How many Oromo people succumbed under Woyane occupation force when the OLF leadership was watching from the side lines? What happened at the western front just 11 years ago? All the OLF leadership has done was to move the leaders to a comfort of foreign countries abondoning the struggle. Why is it a surprise that Kemal Gelchu is all of a sudden a traitor? Do you remember the euphoria that the OLF was trumpeting when Kemal crossed to Eritrea? All in all they have reduced this grand organization to a business model.
I also ask all of my fellow Oromos (those who are not involved in the leadership personally or through friendship or kinship through locality) to look into the mirror and ask” How long can we sleep and what should the next step be?” The status quo is no more tenable. The status quo has to come down tumbling. We all should be mad as hell, but we should direct our energy in a more pragmatic solution to our predicament.

Absolutely there is no need to fear Dr.Berhanu and General Kemal if they are making cosmetic marriage of convenience just for public relation. Better fear the general overall weaknesses and utterly phlegmatic inaction of the Oromo movements itself due to petty clannish divisions and power mongering as an end in itself. It has now become customary for the Oromo movements to threaten each other and through that causing divisions and pushing each other deep in to the salivating wide open mouths of the various Abesha shark groups praying for their daily meals.
Oromos need to work with all the peoples near and far, including Abesha groups but the reality on the ground as far as working with various Abesha groups even the likes of Ginbot 7 and Berhanu Nega is concerned they seem to play ONLY strictly one sided self interest wishing to bring back the same brutal Amahra tyrannical dictatorship to replace Tigrian dictatorship.
For that they need Oromo human and material support just like before in history. First they ask for your small finger, then they ask for your entire fingers, then they will ask for your entire hand, then they will ask for half of your entire body, then they will take your entire body by themselves. You have to just follow as to the nature their discussions, manoeuvrings and ongoing tactical manipulations. Whenever OLF negotiates and makes compromises “Amhara patriots, chauvinists” completely nullify the compromises made Oromo group while instantly putting more and more demands in order to discredit OLF factions and by logical extension also the Oromo people at large.
Why did some of these chauvinist Amhara groups gone to Eritrea other than to practice manipulations, discredit and help expel the OLF from there, get uncontested support from Eritrea, defeat the tplf and then turn its accumulated human and material forces to crush Eritrea and grab the entire territory as an Ethiopian Amhara province just like Haile Selassie. Why invent a wheel? Haa?

G-7 is a colonial, racist and an out dated party on death bed seeking attention by this frivolous statement from disgruntled former OLF members. G-7′s statement is, a statement of a party that is drowned in political sea and trying to catch foam out of it’s political oblivion. Ixoophiyan should always know that, even if we have a little disagreement between ourselves all Oromo people are united against Ixoophiyaa and it’s colonial government in Oromia. Hi,
It is obvious that woyanes or others use diversion technique when oromo struggle becomes strong and shaking some of the apparatus of the dictators. So let us not waste our time on this let us get back to our discussion of the unity of the oromo struggle and how the youth at home is supported. They are fighting in different universities with equipped military so at least let us think how to be voice for the voiceless.
On the Dr. Berhanu, let us see the phrase ” enzihe sewoch ekko ager liasatun new” from the clip above. He is not concerned about oromo people who are in the prison or about peace in the country or about justice, looking that injustice on oromo people. If he was genuine person he would have say all those oromo should not be in prison they should be heard or they should be given to exercise their right, rather he said we are going to lose a country. Is this a humanity? Is this justice?NO!!! This is selfishness that can’t be trusted for justice. Oromo observe very well there is no one who stands for you except your self, don’t get fooled thinking the oppressors will support you. It is you who should stand for your self and finish the struggle. We are better when we are working by our selves always our struggles dumped when coalition started with oppressors. we have seen this once again. we need to learn from our past and stop this diversion technique of habesha from our struggle. If 3 milion do it there is not reason that 30 million can’t do it. let us stand strong and united. WE ARE NOT TO OPPRESS OTHERS WE FOR FREEDOM AND JUSTICE!!!

Yes! Support the leaders who are true to the aspiration of the martyrs for independent republic of Oromia. The unity we aspire for should be the unity that is based on achieving the promise OLF made to the Oromo marytrs i .e is establishing People’s Democratic Republic of Oromia. Those who oppose independent Oromia have already formed unity. In as for as they do not believe in Independent Oromia, there is no logic behind any Oromo group calling it self OLF. Therefore, the remaining unity we have to work on is the unity of champions of independent Oromia under it’s vanguard OLF. Any thing different remains a scheme to sabotage the unity of purpose among Oromo people.

This move of the OLF is not as such new and also not as such disadvantageos for the Oromo liberation movement. But, it simply exazerbated the endless conflict we usually do have based on the visions regarding the type of walabummaa Oromia we, the Oromo nation, will have in the future, the conflict which is still haunting us. The current move of Gen Kamal’s group in explicitly announcing to ‘accept a federal republic of Ethiopia’ is the case in point. I think, this move is not different from the implicit acceptance of the same type of federalism by the OLF in 1991 and from the position of Ob Daud as he formed AFD together with Habesha forces in 2006. The leaders of the OLF had the same intention in heart as Ob Galaasa tried to build an alliance with Ethiopian forces in Asmara around 1998. The only conflict we saw between QC and SG as AFD was formed was based on the fact that QC was excluded; and now the conflict we do see between JJ and SG seems to be based on the reality that SG is not yet invloved in the process.
This conflict has nothing to do with the ideology regarding walabummaa Oromia I mentioned above. The RF-Model (Russian Federaion model) of walabummaa, i.e ‘Oromian Independence’, remains to be the CORE of the Kaayyoo-Oromo or as the Kaayyoo of the middle part of our Fighter-Jet (middle body of our Oromo liberation movement). The UK-Model (United Kingdom model) walabummaa, which is ‘Oromian Ethiopia’ or genuine nation-based Ethiopian federation, where Oromia and Afaan Oromo will play a centeral role, can be considered as a move to the left wing of the Fighter-Jet and it is not less beneficial than the core Kayyoo. The US-Model (United States model), i.e ‘Orominized Ethiopia’ or the region-based Ethiopian federation, in which the historical Oromian regions (Odaa-Bisil, Bulluqi, Bultum, Garress, Makkodi, Nabe and Rooba) as well as Afaan Oromo will dominate the union, is like opting for the right wing of the Fighter-Jet, again this move is not disadvantageous as we usually used to think.
For me, these three Kaayyoo’s can be symbolized by the circular Abbaa-Gadaa’s tricolor: the inner circle, the white ring, being the core Kaayyoo (Oromian independence), the middle circle (the red one), which I do consider as the more beneficial Kaayyoo (Oromian Ethiopia) and last but not least, the outer circle (the black) is the probably most beneficial Kaayyoo (Orominized Ethiopia). That is why, I do tend to think that the conflict between Oromo liberation forces regarding the type of walabummaa Oromia in general is artificial. I hope your input can help us be wise and coordinate the three parts of our liberation movement (left wing, middle body and right wing) against the currently tormenting fascist and racist Gujile in order to achieve bilisummaa Oromo and then allow the Oromo public to decide on the type of walabummaa Oromia per referendum.

Folks: It is not being within Ethiopia or being out of Ethiopia that constitutes the primary bygone and ongoing core problems for Oromos as whole. To deterministically and categorically keep contending along such lines of argument amounts to MISSING the core POINT.
Oromo’s core problems emanates from their being diverse and heterogeneous, characteristics that are easily prone to divisions and fragmentation in conditions of bygone overall less education, more competition, etc. which allows even the most coward parochial Abesha elements to joke and poke its divisive and tyrannical noses against the democratic Gada people historically victimized and exploited by their ancestors down the line.
First and foremost Oromos must necessarily see their natural diversities and the conditions of heterogeneousness as a great gift from the great mother nature and turn that into the great innovations and creativity through unity/alliances of all times in all fields such as political, economical, social, military, sustainable development and justice for all. This can happen both within Ethiopia and without Ethiopia if Oromos can build and reach an overwhelming majority consensus.
Instead of imitating the established but utterly failed and miserably failing Abesha dictatorship and brutal tyranny, Oromos need to go from their own fundamental and positive strength of Gada political, social, military, economic, etc. values and traditional humanistic philosophical that are in fact the antithesis of Abesha totalitarian and authoritarian dictatorship of the minority over the majority. The stark reality and fact of life is that Oromos will always come to deal constantly with Abeshas be it within Ethiopia or outside of Ethiopia. That is why Oromos must necessarily participate in all the political, military., social, economical, cultural, governmental, etc. activities of the country as a matter of rights and entitlements whether within or without Ethiopia.

I endorse your argument but I also understand the predicament of the OLF faction for assuming an inferior position because we as Oromos in general and other Oromo political movements in particular did not build up broad based consensus and placed it behind the faction be it for tactical or strategical purposes. The faction lacks strong and healthy backbone. Even crocodiles are said to be leaning against stones in the water in order to gather strength and superior force to grab the enemy and eat them UP!
Here I am only saying that their weakness and inferior terms of negotiation are in fact related and correlated with the divisions and splintering of Oromo political movements as a whole. I don’t also believe that it is an attempt by Gurages alone to grab power from under the feet of all the traditional Ethiopian dictators and leave even the Oromos in the freezing cold just out side in the marshy open field to continue their favorite clannish bickering while Gurages MAKE lots of money and buy the skies and the lands from under their feet including even their foot prints on the land.:) After all Ginbot 7 prefers a weak back boneless faction as a partners who accepts inferior positions to whom it may keep barking and hauling high and using its media outlets which artificially try to make lions even from any mouse. wako,
What prevented the habitually bickering Oromos from establishing sprawling business empires in their own city and in their own country when big and small outsiders descend on the city and country to establish business empires and with the financial power collected from the business start building political power even to enslave the Oromos by other means. Do you know as to how every single Gurage mini business and kiosk owner in Addis Ababa helps and indiscriminately supports his own clan boys and girls to become an entrepreneur and grow big while Oromos may not even talk to poor oromos not to mention of helping them to stand on their feet and prosper like Gurages and become economically and politically powerful together as a community and society. We have lots to learn! I pray for wisdom and knowledge.
Let us go and stand in front of the mirror and look at ourselves and weaknesses for self reflection. :)

Yaa jara keenya: I have more question than answer to what is going on here.I am pretty sure that these guys are not acting alone. They have a lot of people behind them. It seems to me that these guys are simply poor messengers, who were sent to receive the wrath of the general Oromo public, as the news breaks. I am of the opinion that other factions would join them later, when the dust settles down, of course. It seems to me that these guys are themselves victims. People like Dr. Dima Nagaw might be behind this effort. He is the man who indicated that, he was not proud of his past; much like Pastor Abitow Kebede, who disdain about his artistic past. Dr. Dima went as far as expressing some sort of apology or ‘regret’ for being born in Ilu Abba Bora. That says pretty much everything about him, and about why our struggle doesn’t bear fruit. It is being lead or influenced by such a spineless individuals. Compare this to Mr. Seiye Abraha of ex-TPLF who always expresses pride about his past deeds, despite his current state of affairs. That said, I have big question to ask, that is:Why in the world is the OLF fail, time and time again, to tap into all the opportunities available to itself, to further the popular cause, and waste the opportunity presented itself instead?. Why ‘they’ push fellow Oromo away?. How come these people, having arrived from the TPLF comp to further their peoples cause, ended up classified as enemy; whereas; their joining liberation camp was so much celebrated and hyped about just few years back. They were even elevated to senior leadership position in the organization. Who voted them in? , and on what basis?. If they were elected to this position by winning the trust of the majority, what went wrong now?,What is wrong the OLF people, why has it become a revolving door? People walk in and walk out so fast: No retention whatsoever? Why?

When does this come to an end? What if we work to towards reversing the position we are currently in; namely, turn the table and make others accept our version of Ethiopia ?.

Kamal’s group explicitly announcing an ‘International self-determination’ as its goal is not wrong in principle! They have right just like the God-given right of the Dhugaasa’s faction to persue its goal of ‘External self-determination’. Of course Daud’s group being open for both types of self-determination and stressing a REFERENDUM on the two options is a conciliatory position. The last decission on the issue must be left for the Oromo public at large! I think what angered Jawar and the other Oromo nationals, who are opposing the move of the General is the Euphoria and the premature celebration of the Abesha camp! The fool Abeshas just tried to hide their own giving up of the Centeralism position and their accepting of the nation-based federation, which they vehemently used to oppose. Actually the position now taken by the Kamal’s group is not new for the OLF, but the move of the Abesha camp to this position of accepting the ‘federal republic of Ethiopia’ or the Internal self determination is new! Simply put the Oromo camp is the one who won in the negotiation between the Kamal’s group and the G-7, it is not a victory for Abesha camp!!

If what you are saying is the case, then why shouldn’t G7 celebrate and even colorfully beat the drums whether maturely or prematurely in order to please , convince and ask their parochial conservative constituencies to line up behind the alliance?
Personally the type of danger I see in the long run in this kind of alliances is the theoretically possibility of the coalition engaging the tplf and defeating it after which time the Abesha group might turn against its alliance partner attempting to unilaterally impose the same old Amhara centralized authoritarian tyranny in the name of democracy. Personally I am a sworn democratic with no traces of prejudice against any religion or ethnicity but the same cannot be said about some these traditional trouble makers trying ti impose their one sided views and values on others by all means possible.
They might even use the same old cunning political game against them, that is to say, “A Christian Island in the Sea of Muslims” and appeal to their traditional donor partners in order to reconquer again what they conveniently call, ” Ethnic Apartheid and the sea of Muslims” Only the strong and solid unity/alliance of Oromos and their conscious vision, mission and practical action lines will in the end balance the power and prevent any Abesha group or groups from falling back on to their usual habits and tricks of the trade very well known to all including themselves.

This is the time for other oromo political leaders to form unity without pre-condition to protect the political life OLF from inside and outside of enemies.

EUPHORIA TO WHOM??,
Thanks to our Gadaa.com and the true Oromo nationalists for challenging to our historical enemies-the Ahmaras. The Term “Euphoria” really applies to EPRP and its splinter group Ginbot7 who for the last 50 years remained in its rotten shells for their lack of mobilizing the masses due to with no reasonable strategy, no narrative and lack of modern political vision respectively. As EPRP has the bloodshed in its hand during the Red Terror in 1970th, the Ginbot7 of today too has a bloodshed responsibilty in its hand as a CUD during the 2005 massacre in leaving the youth under the TPLF massacring army. Then in late 2007, Berhanu and its co tried to forge an alliance with the Arena Tigray which was held in secret in Rome, but soon collapsed based on the bitter animocity between the two nations. It was after that failure, ahmaras shifted to their enemis: OLF and ONLF.As the majority OLF and ONLF ignored them, their choice was to make the senseless voice-Euphoria.
Now for them/ Ahmaras/ , it is a nightmare not only loosing an alliance, but a trustless nation at Frontier line for ever.An Alliance Mission with them impossible and hence We should call All Oromos including those in MEDREK to boycott an alliance where a single ahmara part included. At worest, I would prefer an alliance with the TPLF modrated groups rather than chauvinists.

All of you Oromos and even others MUST not only know and be conscious but need to be crystal clear about the intentions and practices of the various bygone and ongoing politics of the Abesha groups. Their intention and practice is unequivocally to bring about Amhara minority authoritarian and totalitarian dictatorship through direct and indirect manoeuvrings, manipulations leading to the final onslaught to drive home their final goal and life time dreams. አራት፡ነጥብ።
That is also why they use exclusively self serving Goebbel’s form of propaganda by blaming the victims at all times and all places, by contending that OROMOS are secessionists when they mean to say that OROMOS MUST NOT seek any self empowering and humanistic autonomy for themselves from the structurally entrenched and camouflaged Ethnic domination and exploitation of their human and material resources.
If Oromos want to work with them on the basis of equality, mutual respect and peaceful new democratic coexistence, Amhara totalitarian ideologues quickly come out to label Oromos as people with blood on their hands and as such must be brought to justice rather than being accepted as equal partners for the new and equal good democratic governance of the country and justice for all. If one descends to the past and starts counting as who has blood on his/her hand and who NOT, the recorded facts clearly testifies to to the living truth that Amhara tyrannical ruling elite groups have committed untold genocide and rivers of blood of Oromo and other peoples’ women, children, and men simply for grabbing their material and human resources exclusively for themselves. So the labeling of Oromos as people with blood in their hand amounts to that of an old clay pot calling stainless steel kettle black.
On the other hand Oromos need to positively look forwards as people with long standing democratic political and sociocultural values and as such concentrate on building a democratic and just society for all.

Blaming ixoophiyaa for our weakness is an absurd. The most stupid person I have ever seen in the history of OLF, Dawwit Ibsaa who really have no hint about leadership. Due to the fact that he is absolutely imbecile, he allowed enemy agent to bear children in OLF and later take it’s leadership over. This is what Kamaal and the co did to OLF. He allowed enemy agent to play their game in Organization that naturally gifted sons and daughters Oromo peasant protected from enemy agent for many years. It’s is time we members Dawwit Group rise up and remove him from his position the same way majority of Jijjirama people did to Kamal Galchuu.

Qeerroo Oromo,
You only spoil your otherwise good argument by piling the entire weaknesses of the heterogeneous Oromo struggle on a single individual, Dawud Ibsa, attaching to him personally that he is ignorant of leadership skills. Is this whole issue of Oromo struggle for freedom pnly about one individual and his exclusive lack of leadership. Sounds fa from the truth! Where are the one’s with superior transformational leadership skills, abundant knowledge and long storage of wisdom? Blind and bully style outrage is not an option. Balanced and analytical constructive criticism is the way.

Habashas have already warned oromos not to speak or write in afan oromo!! listen to their paltalk with tamam! They said every one who does is a criminal suspect. Oromos are accepted by habashas only as long as they are fluent Amharic! Nothing less. So much for jijiraama.
Only pure and unequivocal war of indepence liberates oromia which jijiirams are sworn to destroy. Therefore, it’s absolutely inappropriate for them to hide under the name of OLF and its flag given their action is contrary to the aims of the organization for which tens to hundreds of thousands of our people have been killed, displaced, raped and imprisoned.

Someone tell them to bring out Birtukan Midheksa now. She’s the next stooge waiting to delay QBO through appeasement and soft talk without any change on the ground.

By reading the comments here, I’m really amused and surprised how narrow the views of the people are, who proclaim to represent the majority. I think all of you don’t seem to take time to think about the possible effects of an independent Oromiya. As long as you have no clue about the magnitude and impacts of your request, you will never deal with its obstacles. Just continue dreaming as if Oromiyaa is some remote Region in Ethiopia that is totally isolated. As long as you fail to take note on the huge implication and the details of what it means to have independent Oromiyaa in the overall Ethiopian landscape, I don’t think you will ever have a clue to know what is hindering your dream. To only just demand a referendum about the future status of Oromiyaa tells me that you really have no idea what is you’r talking about and have no clue how complex the issue is. By just focusing on only Oromiyaa and on having referendum, you absolutly lost sight to the complex Ethiopian context that Oromiya is in. You think you will have a referendum and Oromiya will be free? Have you ever thought the complex and huge impacts about the rest of Ethiopia? What will be the effects to the rest of Ethiopia? No, then no wonder you have no clue what is hindering you to achieve your goal. Tell me one single reason any Ethiopian should cooperate to fulfill your dream? Just one! As long as you do not come up with a workable solution to the rest of Ethiopia after the independence of Oromiyaa, referendom will just be a dream of a child who has not learned to see the surrounding context. Even in with the current constitution, any action that leads to the destruction of the state of Ethiopia is against the constitution. Article 39 can be applied to Ogaden but cannot be applied to Oromiya because it is equal to the destruction of the Ethiopian state. And if you think Oromiya will be independent without the cooperation of other Ethiopians, you are fooling yourself. Ask Eritreans, they know better.

Admin’s Note:
Have you noticed the complementary smear campaigns on the Oromo people’s struggle by G7 and TPLF.
- G7 has revamped its smear campaign on the Oromo people and calling Oromo freedom fighters “Tegentayoch.”
- And, TPLF has escalated its smear campaign on the Oromo people and calling Oromo freedom fighters “Ashebariwoch.”
Looks like they’re working together desperately to save their dying empire.
What’s more, G7 is working to pit the Oromo with neighboring peoples of Oromiyaa, just like Woyane.

Thanks Admin. for your articulated response to Mirror’s fierce attack on Oromo nation.
HI MIRROR,
Your bluff intimidation cannot stop us from our destiny. As you lack the culture of tolerance and common understanding to build a tolerant society in the region, once more you lost an opportunity to learn from the collapsed of Soviet Union OR the demise of Yugoslavia in a recent memory where nationalism won over the superpower on the earth-Russia. Russia as a civilized nation contrary to yours, avoided the bloodshed and prefered a good neighbourhoods where today trade and tourism flourishing. But, Ex Yugoslavia as a disgrace by the time dominated by the Serbian army decided to use force against the break up to save the Serbian supermacy over others what is a similar to the Ahmara noise of today even when they lack the means and capacity. That attempt by the Serbs led the worest bloodshed since II World-War and today they became 6 states where Serbia seen as the enemy of the all. Yes, 20 years ago ahmaras tried to destroy the Eritrean nation to reverse any nationalism. As a response Eritrean, Oromian and Tigray nationalism was rising high while Ethiopian nationalism becoming down to fall.
What is the most intersting is Ahmaras are dreaming today to invade Eritrea if they have a means infulenced by nostalgia to rule over others. By their greedy culture/after my death let the grass never grow/ the last 100years they destroyed the region. Today’s misery to our nations brought in by them. Despite historical fact, such kind of man-made destruction enforces us to stand for our own right and for the stability of the region where by all stakeholders should engaged in a peacefull common solution to become a friendly neighbours and strategical alliance.Beyond that we are already a too suffocated empire where no single ethnic cannot rule over others let alone Ginbot7 keep up dreaming. At worest no more chauvinists rule over Oromia, Tigray .
