Oromiyaan Tirunesh Dibaba Did It Again!

Gadaa.com
Graphics: Oromiyaan Tirunesh is shown here with the Oromiyaan national flag even though she runs for Ethiopia at the Olympic Games; Oromiyaa is a stateless country in the Horn of Africa. There are many other Oromiyaan Olympians at the London Olympic Games – who run for other countries, such as Bahrain, Norway, Turkey, UAE, and/or even Azerbaijan. Please read this report by Ayyaantuu.com.

Tirunesh Dibaba of Oromiyaa defended her 10K Olympic title by clinching the first track gold of the London Olympics on Friday, August 3, 2012 with a time of 30:20.75, the season-best of the year.

It’s to be remembered that Dibaba became the first woman ever to win both the 10K and 5K titles at the same Olympics at the Beijing Olympic Games four years ago. At the Beijing Olympics in 2008, she clocked 29:54.66 in 10K, which became the second fastest 10K time in history, and the 10K Olympic record.

In the same 10K event at the London Olympics, another Oromiyaan, Olympian Belaynesh Oljira, clocked 30:45.56 to finish fifth.

Tiru ko did not win a fake win. She did not wave oromian flag, that doesnt deny her oromian nationality. So, why you try to spoil her win by puttting her in a wrong flag? Nonsense!

Great job our athlets! Your success is a success for Oromia, Ethiopia, as well as for Africa.
I don’t know why people argue regarding who deserves to be proud of your sucess. Oromos can be proud of your sucess because you are from Oromia. Ethiopians can be proud because you are at the same time from Ethiopia. And, on top of these, Africans can be proud of your sucess because you are from Africa, too.
In deed, I am from your village, and as such I don’t mind if everyone else claims you. Let alone other Ethiopians, I don’t mind if someone from other part of the world became proud of your achivment.
It seems to me that people argue just because they don’t have anything else to do. I would like to advice these people to run, jogg, or walk, instead of fighting one a few successful people.
    Thanks,
    Badhaasaa.

I think we all(Oromos, Ethiopians, and Africans) deserve the accomplishment of those hero athlets.
    Thanks,
