Oromo Dialogue Forum’s Statement on the Passing Away of Prime Minister Meles Zenawi

The following is a statement from the Oromo Dialogue Forum (Waltajjii Marii Oromoo).

Oromo Dialogue Forum’s Statement on the Passing Away of Prime Minister Meles Zenawi

We, members of the Oromo Dialogue Forum (ODF), would like to extend our condolences to the family and relatives of the late Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Meles Zenawi. The announcement of the death of Mr. Zenawi, who ruled Ethiopia for more than two decades, has triggered an outpouring of conflicting emotions by his friends and foes alike. He has been praised as a great leader by the former and maligned as a tyrant by the latter. We believe that the more constructive way of reacting to this development should be considering it as an opportune moment for reflection.

Prime Minister Meles Zenawi leaves behind a very conflicting legacy. He was a very clever politician on the international arena. While he worked hard to win friends abroad, and was seen more comfortable with foreigners, he shunned dialogue at home, was less accessible to Ethiopians, and rarely seen in public. He played a very prominent role and was praised on the international stage, but he remained a very divisive figure at home. He never attempted to solicit broad domestic support, and the one thing that mattered most to him was international legitimacy to buttress his domestic hold on power. Consequently, he bequeathed widespread violations of human rights, abuse of power, simmering internal conflicts arising from the divergent attitudes about the character of Ethiopia, compounded by increasing clashes with various religious groups. At the same time, Ethiopian troops are embroiled in the Somali imbroglio while tensions with Eritrea remain very much alive. Therefore, he leaves behind a leadership that is facing many internal and external challenges in the absence of his firm guidance.

The only way to settle the crises stemming from these simultaneous internal and external challenges, we believe, is by convening an inclusive National Convention in order to reform and build a new and democratic state on the basis of equal citizenship, a state that reflects the diversity of its peoples, safeguards their equality, unity, welfare, fundamental human rights, and sovereignty. Such a national convention provides the opportunity to hammer out a compromise on the character of the state, deliberate on how it should be governed, and arrive at a common national purpose, the precondition for the diverse peoples of Ethiopia to live together in harmony, peace, dignity, and justice. We believe this noble vision is achievable provided that all concerned display the willingness to jettison the deep-seated political culture of wanting to impose one’s preferred positions, and uphold the principle of accommodation and common solutions.

In particular, we call upon the TPLF/EPRDF to stop deceiving itself that it can impose its will by force and single-handedly solve Ethiopia’s multifaceted problems and challenges. We also call upon those who wish to restore the order of yesteryears to realize that the danger inherent in such an undertaking would only lead to further violence and bloodshed.

The political crisis in Ethiopia today is not just an ideological one; it is neither a preference between democracy and dictatorship, nor a choice between poverty and development. Ethiopia’s ills run deeper. At its core is the way successive rulers have treated the peoples of Ethiopia as only subjects with obligations to the state, instead of citizens with rights. The problem is rooted in a lack of societal consensus on the character and ownership of the Ethiopian state. The specter of armed struggle, repression, secrecy, and political conflict will not end until, and unless, this lack of legitimacy of state power in Ethiopia is addressed. This entails not only reasonably meeting the aspirations of the oppressed nationalities but also the desire to maintain the country’s unity. And we believe dialogue offers the best route out of the crises. Vengeance invites vengeance, and the cycle will continue without end. To break this vicious cycle of violence that had besieged us for many years, we should start a new era of negotiated settlement and bring about a peaceful resolution to our common problems. There cannot be unilateral solutions, military or civil, to our political problems either by the opposition or the government.

This is why we wish to kick start a dialogue involving all political groups, including the ruling party, culminating in the convening of a National Convention in order to chart a clear path towards state transformation and a democratic future by laying the groundwork for the emergence and consolidation of institutions of a truly democratic system that warrant and enjoy the respect of all of Ethiopia’s diverse peoples. Only the building of credible, neutral, and competent state institutions that inspire the confidence of all parties, can guarantee the holding of free and fair elections, leading to forging a more modern, unified, federal, developed, and democratic state that is owned and defended by all its constituents.

The political heirs of Prime Minister Meles Zenawi can lay him to rest in peace by heeding to the clarion call for national dialogue and consensus. His admirers in the international community can also best do justice to his legacy by supporting such a process of inclusiveness for a genuinely and sustainably stable and prosperous Ethiopia.

    Dear Oromo Dialogue Forum,
You made one of the most sensible and pragmatic call. I hope the remnant of TPLF and the International community will listen to you timely call for lasting solutions.
    Well Done!

This guys who stood in the Name of Oromo dialogue forum, are interested only to share power, show their individual capacities and their writing skills than standing for the interest of the people…They are the one’s who guided the oromo’s to fight for independence against the Zenawi’s regime…thousands of Oromo’s died because of the struggle and partly because of their mistake…and they write appreciation for Meles Zenawi….by writing this, I think they are trying to say ”we are genuine” …I want to ask them ”what their press release would be at this moment had they lost their kids or families” ….the blood of innocent Oromo’s is equally important with the life of these individuals who sit and play games on the blood of the people. Shame on you!…..all of you will die with out coming power which u miss most …..u care only for power not for real democracy!

Ok, this looks like a call for another “National Charter” or “Convention” as it is worded diffrently in this statement, the same type Lenco tried in 1991. It looks like a copy and paste from one of Obbo Lenco Leta’s books as it talks about “Unity” and “Sovereignty”. I wonder, sovereignty of what? Of the Ethiopian Empire? Really? I am not surprised Lenco Leta used these words as this has been his foot print all along. I am surprised the J/ Bayan Asoba signed his name. How shamefull flip-flopping? Shame.

The problem is where is our leverage (for Oromos) to get the right “seat” at the “Convention”? Do you fool yourselves that the Habashas can give you an inch for free?

You are the enemy of Oromo people and independent of Oromia. Meles Zenawi had killed thousands of thousand of Oromos. You do not feel sad for this. You do not have sense on you. He slaughtered our people. You are kneeling on your knees begging Abyssinians for power. You will never get it. You will never see it. You go around running like a rabid dog. We, Oromo will fight and liberate Oromiya.

Death has a way of taming an outrage. Death is also a reminder that those who claim to serve the need of the people should do so and have their records speak for them. Death and the legacy the dead leave behind is also a reminder to the living, particularly those looking to assume power, I prefer service, that they sould think deep and hard about service rather than control. Look back at the legacy of the last three Abyssinian tyrants; Hailesilassie, Hailemariam and now Meles, they were removed or died while in power. The next leader should immediately implement term-limit, one term of 8 years, as manifetation of his/her service for the good of the country and its citizens. Anything less is continuation of the legacy of tyranny.

Burry the dead serve, inspire, and protect the living

21 years ago this same guys sat in SHAGGAR and helped Meles draft the current constitution with which he raped the country. After one year they left the transition government and declared war on Meles, as if they were men enough to fight. They then misguided and cheated tens of thousands of Oromo youth into death trap. They then settled in the Western world comfortably as if they have finalized the Oromo national struggle. Their age mate , Meles Zenawi , in the past 20 years, have empowered Tigreans beyond their wildest dreams. He led his people to economic prosperity. He managed to create a strong Tigrean elite that the kind of Lenco willl have difficulty to match. Most of these Tigrean elites are young generation. The Lencos have been demoralizing the Oromo youth in the past 20 years, with their divisive politics. Is it not a terrible thing to see when the Lenco s beg the Tigreans minority to give them a second chance to be included into their government? Men should live and die as men, just like Meles.

I know the degree of resistance, however, let all of us compromise individual and group benefits for benefits of Oromos suffering in Ethiopia. Let us have broad vision than contradicting each other! Let us memorize what have been happening to Oromo starting since late 19th century to date by different Ethiopian dictators.

Let me as those people from the so called Oromo Dialogue Forum, who made this statement, just two main questions:

You said “… we would like to extend our condolences to the family and relatives of the late Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Meles Zenawi…”

“…This is why we wish to kick start a dialogue involving all political groups, including the ruling party,…”

    1) Did Meles and/or his family and relatives extend his/their condolences to the Oromo family whose children, family member and relatives were murdered by Meles regime?

As the name indicates, I think it is Oromo Dialogue Forum to consolidate our own camp. I furthermore think that the objective of this dialogue is to solve internal problems within the camp of Oromo liberation struggle.

    2) So, why are you begging the enemies of QBO for dialogues instead of strengthening your own camp or do you have a hidden agenda?

I can simply say shame on you Guys!!!

Finally, a group with some rational thinking and that makes sense. What we need a solution that is founded on LOVE but not HATE. What we need is a solution to all people in the country but not only Oromos. If one struggles to liberate only his own without caring for others, he/she cannot be better than any despot. Those of us who do not have a deep understanding of the region’s complex political environment need to step aside. Saying things emotionally is one thing but bringing a pragmatic solution is another thing. Therefore, we should allow the people who are experienced on the matter to do what they do best.

One of the many factors which still hinder us from success is the fragmentation of our political organizations. We do now have several mini Liberation Fronts roaring like baby lions against the one big enemy, the Woyane, as huge as Goliath. This well experienced enemy is laughing at our mini lions whenever they try to confront it in isolated actions, for they are not as such dangerous. The enemy even pretends to take one or two of them seriously and negotiate with them. But, the baby lions can not gain anything in the negotiation for the Woyane despises them. In order to gain in such negotiation, the mini lions need to be strong enough in the real battlefield. That is why all our mini Liberation Fronts have to come under one structure and build one stronger OLF. No one in life fears 100 baby lions, but everyone is scared of confronting one strong adult lion…”

    Obbo Lencos,
    Obbo Dima,

I have been following the death of Meles zenawi and the immediate reaction it generated among Tigreans here in the diaspora and back home through telephone calls. I said to myself I wish the Oromo people had one person that they could rally behind like the Tigreans are doing. I remember of a Tigrean family who lost their son to Meles’s military bullets in 2005 and, yet, the family has even forgiven Meles and are mourning for his death.
I looked around at all Oromo polticians and could find none that can generate the strong emotion of belonging. Whether it is OPDO or other organizations we have not been courageous enough to build a formidable resistance (peaceful or armed).
Lencos had the opportunity. After defanging the Oromo resistance years ago, they turn around to lecture us about begging for an ear from the TPLF junta. This person can assure you that you will never get one. TPLF is TPLF- a powerful narrow Tigrean nationalist who are ready to sacrifice their soul to protect their hegemony over Ethiopia. That is a fact. The other fact is that the Oromo people are ready to fight tooth and nail to protect their land, their freedom. They just need one leader who is ready to lead them in that struggle. It may emerge from within the country.
We ask you to stay away from Oromo politics as it is now since your contribution have been tested time and again.

Yaa rabi, kaan lubuun jiru waan heddu arga, nagaya. At the begining of this year, when G Kamal led OLF announced new strtegy of struggle openly for all oromos and enemies, it was Dr Beyan Asoba who was organizing great propaganda against G Kemal accusing that Forming democratic Ethiopia is not objective of Oromos. Today, Dr Beyan Assoba stated such a letter/call for Ethiopian to create “Unity” and “Sovereignty” of Ethiopia. Surprising and this is the greatest shame of the year 2012. Oromo should understand the real problem within OLF and we must appriciate and support the Generals G Kemal and G Hailu only because they are talking only the truth. They exposed the bad cancer within OLF and they saved this great Organization of the great Oromo people. Oromo in Oromia must understand this fact, and act accordingly. OLF shold be liberated first from such shamful and self Oromos. The young oromo should support G Kemal and G Hailu and take over the leadership of OLF. Thank you our great great Generals for exposing these selfish oromos who claim leadership.

Any good such as diplomatic item or public relation work is a work. I will never question those leaders’ diplomatic communiqués procedures or it’s formality. They are above that. They have my trust. Shame on us Oromo people! Why do we always allow to be consumed by the home work that our enemies give us? If we are really serious about establishing independent Oromia, we should rather focuse on how to unite OLF under one objective of establishing independent Oromia. We should only focus on having united OLF underone objective, ie, establishing independent Oromia, one and trusted leadership with experciece of guerrilla warfare, one political programe, constitution, strategy and tactics. This should only be our out most priority as Oromo people who want to free our country from Ethiopian colonialism.

Tell me when we are going to come together be stronger than ever? Probably not in my life time (I am 30 now). Tell me who is capable of bringing my people under one vision? Tell me where that charismatic, result oriented, and articulate leader is?
By the way, how did this group got together? What was the criteria to be in that list? *** Please have the right people in there who has no or damaging baggage.

It is a self exposing statement. Is that true, history repeats itself?, as it proved the history of surrendering is his legacy for Mr. LEENCOO, but not by the expenses of the Oromo nation. He proved himself as he cannot fight who lacks Ciidhaan always who serrenders in expoiling the Oromo name. This statement is a surrendering letter to the TPLF which was underway before their master tragedy happened in which this Group4 expressed their readiness to accept the Tigray supermacy over Oromo people. Never in Oromo history like Lencoo who brought a national shame on Oromo. This his statement is worse than his betrayal on our OLA in 1993 ***. Dr.Bayan failed in trap

These bloody full idiot opportunist are not representing or working for Oromos ; and they are working for their stomach, and they can sell Oromo,s for the the highest bidder . 2-99% of Ethiopian prisoners are oromo at this moment
3-All oromo business men are killed , tortured or lost their property by Meles
4-Oromo students were killed, dismissed from college by meles
5-all our properties are taken by Meles…………………………………..
    6………………………………………..
so may be these guys are one of the few oromos who work for meles hiding themselves inside OLF ,
so what do you think if they left OLF ,do OLF becomes weak or strong?

    Gurmu,

I am not a politician but basically I know for fact that there is no contradiction between the promotion of common national interest and individual self interest within the over all national interest. A healthy and wise individual is interested in the common national interest through which he/she promotes also individual self interest. Both self ionterest and common national interest are mutually supportive such that if combined in a propare proportion will strongly drive forwards the healthy wealthy achievements of the national objectives. Contradition and degeneration comes in to opicture when individuals become pathologically self centered narcistic sick individuals working unilaterally only for self interests alone at the total cost and damage of the national interest just like tyrant Melles vacuuming others human and material resources in to his private and inner circle supporters using death squad type military force.

It is not the first time that tyrant cunning fox Melles offers negotiation signals simply to divide the opposition and keep them fighting each other with sweat flowing down their chest and further intentionally causing endless divisions and mistrusts among the always GOWWAA and deaf Oromo movements who love to seat on different tree branches and throw peanuts at each other day and night.

will surely defeat your ambitions and harm the oromo objective. Please learn to leave others to struggle in a way they see fit simply because in a complex social and political transformation there is NO one single truth alone which is your truth only. There are multiple different truths and road maps that need to be coordinated, managed and directed towards the main over all objective. All the different actors, such as individuals, groups, movements, etc. need to participate freely but coordination based on public diplomacy, persuation, and positive orientation and motivation for the common bright future knocking at the door. :)

    Boona,

Everything is comparative but directly comparing Tigrian unity to enslave others and Oromo disunity and lack of protecting the Oromo interest is not correct. Not correct because Tigrians are only some 5-6% one village community always threatened homogenous tiny minority with authoritarian cultural values while Oromos are some 45% heterogenous people spread over large areas and possessing democratic and pluralistic cultural value traditions. So, for the parochial homogenous Tigrian village boys and girls with authoritarian socialand political valu tradions dictatorial and tyranical brutal leaders might be just relevant to achieve cohesion and fulfill common objectives.

On the contrary for the heterogenous large Oromos spread all over the regions and possessing democratic cultural value traditions one may say that they need some kind of talented, skillful, tolerant and democratic oriented transformational leaders who are able to act as a musical smyphony orchestra leader standing on an elevated stage infront of the lage number of diverse musical performers using diverse different instruments and coordinating and leading using motivating and energizing body languages and expressions so that the beautiful and hypnotizing different melodies become unified and harmonized for the final spiritual and physical nutrious food of the spirite and and the physical body to be remembered there and then as well as for ever to come.

8 THINGS LEADERS CAN LEARN FROM SYMPHONY CONDUCTOR!

    1. The conductor starts with a great score. Conductors have a plan. They start with a musical score and a clear idea of how it should sound. Only then do they attempt to recreate in real time their musical “vision.”

    2. The conductor recruits the very best players. Great conductors attract great players. Mediocre conductors attract mediocre players. The very best players want to work for the very best conductors. Like attracts like.

    3. The conductor is visible, so that everyone can see him. The conductor stands on a platform, so that every single member of the orchestra can see him. This is the only way the orchestra can stay in alignment, with each player starting and stopping at the appropriate time.

    4. The conductor leads with his heart. Great conductors are swept up in the music. They are passionate. They don’t just play with their head; they also play with their heart. You can read it on their face. You can sense it in their movement. They are fully present and “playing full out.”

    5. The conductor delegates and focuses on what only he can do. The conductor doesn’t do everything. He doesn’t sell the tickets. He doesn’t participate (usually) in the preliminaries. He doesn’t even make sure that the orchestra is in tune. He stays off stage until it is time for him to do what only he can do—lead.

    6. The conductor is aware of his gestures and their impact. A conductor can’t afford to make an unintentional gesture. Everything means something. The flick of the wrist, the raising of an eyebrow, and the closing of the eyes all have meaning. A good conductor can’t afford to be careless with his public demeanor.

    7. The conductor keeps his back to the audience. Conductors are aware of the audience but their focus is on the the players and their performance. The only time the conductor stops to acknowledge the audience is before the playing begins and after it is finished. Other than that, he is focused on delivering an outstanding performance.

    8. The conductor shares the spotlight. When the concert is over, and the audience is clapping, the conductor turns to the audience and takes a bow. A good conductor immediately turns to the orchestra and invites them to stand and bow as well. He shares the glory with his colleagues, realizing that without them, the music would not be possible. :)

    Hi Galane,
If you are an Oromo, ask yourself why the absolute majority of Oromos are against ODF which try to reverse the Oromo struggle in exchange for personal interest either from TPLF or Ahmara extremist group. As a famous philosopher once said that ‘those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it, Leencoo unable to learn from his past mistakes when he walked out over our dead body via Bolee airport. ODF statement=the letter of surrender. In fact ESAT was happy to see such opportunity to use as a political propaganda to weaken the true OLF and took on air ODFs’ statement. The Opportunitst Leencoo two years ago he refused interview by Ahmaric and did in English with ESAT and the same man with broken ahmaric he appeared on VOA Ahmaric service what Ahmaras called him who moves according to the wind. While Meles left the legacy of generation to his nation Leencoo- Dimaa left for their nation a legacy of surrender and shame. For sure when this group 4 totally isolated by the Oromo nation, they are begging our foes to serve them against the Oromo nation. I am sure you are one of them who will be charge by history.
    Aboma,
As always your move are highly appreciated in speaking by true Oromummaa for our Tokkummaa. True Tokkummaa should come through bitter struggle where some dropped the majority moves in cleaning up the cancer that gridlock us from our national journey {ODF} as an unfortunate fate in any struggle for liberty , but what makes difference ODF is look the TPLF ex central
committee they did not creat another TPLF and even they became the vigilance of the TPLF. Take Seye Abraha who imprisoned for 6 years by the Meles, he keeps TPLF moves to keep the Tigray interest and the Oromos too have to move on helping one another from diaspora OLF to Oromiyaa based OFC for the cause of our national destiny .

It is really unfortunate to hear such a comment from someone who claims to be ilma Oromo. You can believe in whatever you think is best for that nation. No one should impose his ideas on anyone. I really didn’t appreciate your name calling. You see, this is your greatest weakness. I don’t understand how your Oromo father missed teaching you how to honor your elders and leaders. It just breaks my heart when you mention individuals’ names who served you to the best of their abilities. You don’t seem to get the fact that your unfounded blame game towards this individual is the very reason some of us (most of us) dumped you and your ideas in a trash can. You think the vast majority is standing with you, ya? I hate to tell you, since you seem to be in a deep sleep, that your ideas have long expired. Wakjira, please wake up. At least stay out of the way. Will U? Anything anybody does for that nation should be viewed as complementary instead of competitive. Can you honestly give me one major thing you have accomplished for the past two decades? You have just been quarreling like kids. I hope you don’t deny this. What gives you the courage to tell us not to follow whoever we think is offering us a good and clear direction?

    @Galane,
Harka funne. Partially, I do accept your constructive criticism towards my opinion against our leaders. As any true Oromos I am one of them who have great love and respect towards our policy makers including Obbo Leencoo-Dr.Dimaa not only as the father of our movement, but also as the father of Saabbonna Oromummaa. It is impossible without their input and leadership where we arrived today. They are always ours, but they should not abandoned us when their nation needs them more than ever and expose our internal affairs by blocking our Tokkummaa. In one way this year is not so good for the unity of our movement where we expected them to unlock the gridlock in taking vigilance perse a similar to Seye & Sebhat towards their TPLF. When they failed for such expectation do not blame me for any reaction infulenced by anger and desire. Me too I can have a desire as much as Meles who once said he proud of himself for being born from the Golden nation, the way our leaders communicate ,determination and act matters so much .When our nation cries for our Tokkummaa why they chose the otherway? when our foes declared a war against our struggle why they are opening our more doors?, for sure more than our leaders no one knows the mentality of our foes, what the Oromiyaan generation can learn from our leaders? as death is unavoidable for any to be the father of the nation is a honour and an asset for the coming generation. Our leaders should listen us and lead us in unison for our national destiny. I am not any supporter group except my Oromummaa, wish to see the true Tokkummaa mraching in unison for our national identity.
As far as accomplishment concerned I adimit I did not do what I suppose to do for my nation. If any I am the co-founder of Oromiyaa Business Association a Maccaa Tuulama mindset.

I have been following your disagreements. You both are impressive in presenting your opinion and responding to criticism. My 2cent opinion is that we all need to try to think outside the box. Just because someone walked a certain path, it doesn’t mean we have to walk a similar path. I believe some wouldn’t have acted in certain way knowing what they know now. What makes a great leader is that when he/she passes the level of precedent leaders. Oboo Lencho Letta and Dr. Dima have evolved to a higher level outlook.

I wormly salute the highly mature, imaginative, bold, truthful and most practical strategic direction that the Oromo Dialogue Forum Is proposing.you know what, all genuine Ethiopians who wont the betterment and peace of their peaope. Needless to say, there is no any other solution to our poverity, decades of humulation, disempowerment of our peope as respectable nation other than building a reasonable democratic process in our country. Irrespective of the “Bura kereyu” and the most backward, insolvant and intrasagent approach that some of your critics are fomenting, my friends you are on the right moral/practical ground for calling our people with all their ethinic, religios, reginal and poletical to form a national dialogue that is the bases to form a sincere intent to form civilized national unity and democracy. Every sectarian, sectional, divisive and backward manouvers will not bring an a drop of improvement for the well being of our people othe than misery and perpetual poverity to our nation. Most of the groups who talk of only their narrow interests are missing the whole point. That is not how the current blobal poletical system national, reginal and world poletica systems operate to be more competative in the world ecomomicaly, culturaly and poleticaly as a nation. we hav to convince those with a totaly distorted and impractical conception of history to understand the global realities and stop their narrow minded “group think” mentally who are simply reviberating the same old cliches, just to get approval, favour and a higher level of acceptance and short sighted admiration ith their own group. what we are dealing with is a huge animal that is bigger than an elefant. hence, I encourage all fellow ethiopians to stop this nonsensical talk and look at the big piturue. just look around you, population grout is exploding around the globe, poverity is increasing, farmlands land are decreasing, deforestation is expanding, the world poletical and economic systems are controled by few powers to be, nations are collaborating and formining an alliance to deal with this threating realities in the future. And here some of our citzens are still advocating for going it alone instead of holding hands with their own families, neibours and nation in order to for a healthy family, a healthy commuity and a healthy naton that nourishes its people. hence I call upon all Etiopians to be sef serving and look at the global realities and give your time, energy, imagination and creativity to bring the peope of Ethiopia together. there rest is simply the familar Hubla.

Lately, after one way journey of the late Ethiopian Prime Minister, we heard very significant remorse of the old OLF guard wanting to re-caliber itself, yawning for opportunity at any cause including abandoning the National Oromo cause. Unfortunately, the same old OLF guards, and its new agents, who wedged a movement armed struggle against Meles Zenawi and Ethiopia, accounts for thousands of Oromo’s blood shied and thus far never conceded any accountability. In the last 10 years, this individuals, who all over sadden want to evolve themselves into the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi, forcefully campaigned, to purposely paralyze all existing Oromo struggle movements and parties, by entering one group after another and by creating bunch of little movement alike parties including few within their sub clans. For instance, almost in all of Diaspora formed Oromo struggle movements, including, A groups, of Glasa dilbo (OLF) Abyu Galata, (QACA) Daud Ibsa, (SHANE) CUD/AFD, B/J Kamal Galchu, (CHANGE). ULFO and AWO, They held an executive committee role, and they have never done a thing, helping the organizations ignite, rather, they played a very crucial role of far dividing Oromo’s beyond ethnic lines.
After all, during the last 40 years of Oromo’s armed struggle against Ethiopia, Many lives are lost, imprisoned, and Oromo’s are far degraded by TPLF and its precious lands are sold for every high bidder foreigners. Most importantly, as this goes on, in Oromos daily lives, Lencho Lataa’s agents are busy propagating and promoting his Elites intellectuality, while ordinary Oromo’s begun wondering their dabble agent status, which might infiltrated by shroud late Prime minster Zenawi with a promise of some ministerial post. Unsurprisingly, in Zenawi’s unexpected death, they shamelessly, came out with some eulogy and condolences, while Oromo’s seemed a bit relived hoping for better.
