From Ambo in West, to Melka Jebdu/Dire Dawa in East, to Jimma in South, to Kombolcha/Walloo in North, Oromia is Up for Grabs Under the Cover of “Industrial Zones”

Posted: Ebla/April 15, 2014 · Finfinne Tribune | Gadaa.com | Comments (6)

According to documents acquired by Gadaa.com, the scale of land grabbing (land thefts) underway in Oromia by the TPLF junta, its Habesha “INVESTORS” (aka Neo-Neftegna’s) and its foreign financiers is larger than previously known to the public.

According to information aggregated by Gadaa.com, prime farmlands in Oromia, including the Walloo territory in the North, will be divided into at least 8 “industrial zones” and ownership of Oromo farmlands will be transferred to Habesha “INVESTORS” (aka Neo-Neftegna’s) and their foreign financiers under the pretext of the “Growth and Transformation Plan – GTP – Development” scheme.

Ambo, in West Oromia, is slated to be ultimately incorporated under the authority of Addis Ababa Administration, together with Bole-Lemmi, Sandafa, Dukem, Kilinto and other small Oromian towns Surrounding Addis Ababa. Under this scheme, Oromo farmers in Kilinto have been completely evicted off their farmlands over the last year in 2013/2014, as it was reported last week on Gadaa.com.

Farmlands around Jimma in South Oromia and those in Melka Jebdu around Dire Dawa in East Oromia will all be incorporated into the adjacent cities, and the ownership of the land be transferred to Habesha “INVESTORS” (aka Neo-Neftegna’s) under the pretext of “development,” “Growth and Transformation Plan – GTP,” and so on.

In Northern Oromia, the TPLF regime has already doled out land to “INVESTORS” under its GTP scheme around Kombolcha, near Bati, Walloo.

The full TPLF plan, if implemented, will uproot millions of Oromos from their farmlands, and condemn them to further poverty with no land and livelihood.

Unless we defend ourselves nobody will come to defend us. It is time for Oromo people to leave aside their political differences (including OPDO) to come together and defend our people before they clean us from the earth. Pls get organized wherever you are and play your part. Let’s contribute what one can do to the mobilization of our people, it can be money, knowhow. energy and to that end life. Otherwise, nobody will check us human being, it is we who can do for us. Make a call to Oromo sons and daughters to stand up hand in hand before it get too late

Wayanes are taking some pages from Israeli policy of building settlement on Palestinian land when they threaten to remove millions of oromos from their ancestral homeland and build their own militia settlement in the name of “industrial zone” and “investment.”

Last year when neo-naftagnas attacked oromos unprovoked the previously unseen oromo unity came to surface from nowhere and rewarded oromos with OMN . I hope the open war of wayane on oromo people will give birth our own strong self defense force. Wayane forgot they are probably opening the gate of hell for themselves and all of East African. Of course Oromos have absolutely no option but defend ourselves by all means. The political difference between oromos is now nearly eliminated. We will be compelled to build our own strong self dense to deal bandit threat. I am ready to give my life if necessary to defend the oromo children and oromo land!
