On May 31, 2014, the Portland Oromo Community Association held a candlelight vigil in honor of our fallen Oromo students who were victims of the recent brutal killings by TPLF security forces. Many of the fallen students did not receive proper funerals from their families. The cruel TPLF Government has ordered some of the victims’ dead bodies to be disposed in bushes, in attempt to cover-up their crime. Hence, human corpses were left for wild animals to feast on. It’s also heartbreaking that the mothers or fathers of the Oromo students cannot mourn for their loved ones; instead they are forced to condemn their dead children as “terrorists,” “anti-development agents,” “anti-peace agents,” and “anti-government agents,” etc. The despicable act of the TPLF government is beyond the human imagination.
