If Bob Geldof really thinks that the current government of Meles Zenawi will tell the truth, the only truth, nothing but the truth, I will call him naive. Look at the history of this government and you will find a clue about this government’s survival over this long period of time. They have never spoken truth to their people or to any people.

However, Geldof and the rest of Ethiopian people have the right to know what is behind this allegations. The claim that this story undermines the aid projects and the five aid organizations calling the story baseless before investigating it does not serve the poor or the donors. We want the whole truth and probably the move by Geldof will bring the truth to the world.

The sad thing is because of Bob Geldof funding, now the Oromos are suffering. I don’t know why Bob Geldof is crying about it..There is a report taht the CIA had known about this case so Suck it up and Move on Bob Geldof..

It is amazing how ego drives people with good intentions to act like a headless chicken. Geldof is enabler of despots. Geldof, let the investigation take its course. Stop your own self-destruction. There is no condemnation on you. Instead of denouncing BBC and calling for firing of journalists you should have asked for more details and then take the case to Meles and his cronies plus to the intl. body. Now it only seems that you collected all that money to satisfy your own ego rather than to help people? You should be outraged that the money was diverted to buy guns instead of saving lives.

That’s wht decent humans would be outraged about…not about the reporting.
